Desc: I received a TAG watch as a present from my father. I like TAG Watches, but I also like the size of the faces of Kenneth Cole watches. THE IDEA: So I decided to make a watch that had the size of the face of a Kenneth Cole watch, but the design of a TAG Watch. I also realized that many 3D watches are perfect, without a scratch. So I decided to add some damage to mine. I kept the glass intact, since TAG watches have a saphire glass. It never gets scratched :) THE CHALLENGE: Technically, I wanted a challenge too. So I decided to texture everything with procedurals, since some people believe that realism can only be attained by texture maps. Even the grid inside the watch is procedural. The numbers are not procedural, as well as the basic floor bump. This as a result gave an image that can be rendered at any size. Detail is beyond the eyes, and can be admired best at 10,000 x 6667 As for the lighting, I wanted also a challenge, so I used only 2 lights and made no use of HDRI or similar. Hope you like the image. YOUR CHALLENGE I have always liked those challenges in which you have to find in an image an error compared to another image. It is impressive sometimes how 3d savy guys focus so much on the technical forgetting about the logical aspect of an image. So, the challenge for this one, is to find 3 things that must not be. Tip: You don't need to know 3d to figure them out :)
