Interview with Chris Maness, Wet Cement Productions
by William “Proton” Vaughan

Chris Maness recently landed his first job in the cg industry as a modeler at Wet Cement Productions in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Maness has a passion for all things art and a strong background in music. Subdivision Modeling.com recently sat down with Chris to find out what inspires him, what advice he has for others looking to break into the industry, and how Wet Cement has been keeping him busy.

Can you tell us a little bit about your Background?
I was born in Pasadena Texas which is near Houston. I was always around music and art of some type as both of my parents and older brother are very creative. I started off drawing and coloring and that eventually led to painting and sculpting.
As a kid I was interested in all kinds of occupations in the arts. I dreamed of doing various things with my talents but had trouble choosing one. I continued to draw, paint, sculpt, play music and write poetry as I went through school. When I graduated High School I took some art classes at community college, but I still wasn't positive about what I wanted to do. I enjoyed playing music and recording my own song ideas which led me to using music software as well.
