Volume lighting is a type of effect in which light passes through particulates to create an immersive scene. It can make environments seem more real with its ability to handle volumetric objects like smoke or fire that would otherwise obscure your view, giving you the feeling that there are actually particles floating around all over every place we go – even when they’re not!
Redshift’s volumetric scattering shaders allow you to create a global fog effect, or light beams and shadows.
