Blender Tutorial – Make a Curved Armature with Spline IK

In this tutorial for new Blender users, we take an initial look at using the Spline IK constraint as a means of adding curves to your armature.
It’s important that with all things in life there is some form or another and so too it goes with characters: they need joints! In order put these together you must choose how they will move; what effect do we want when our character walks across terrain? These questions can be answered by deciding on one thing – he needs walk animation clips fitted onto him (or something). But before doing anything else let me show y’all just why ik constraints might come handy here…
