In this Blender tutorial we’ll take an introductory look at the rigging so you can have a strong understanding of its powerful toolset.

A rigging session with a teacher is always more fun. In this first part, we’ll learn about the basics of parenting and bone placement before moving on to face expressions that can be created through shape keys or corrective shaped for imperfections in your character’s design!

To create an animator friendly rig and use Blender’s mirroring functions we will first need to understand how weight painting works. We’ll also explore other features such as driver setup, which allows for easier rigging in various software programs!
