How To Create A Decaying Apple With Cinema 4D Fields

QuickVFX has a look at using Cinema 4D R20 Fields to create a decaying apple effect.

The new tutorial by Fields & QuickVFX teaches you how to use fields for creating animation. The lesson covers a disintegration type of simulation in their simple apple effect, which is designed so that over time its apples fall apart into gritty pieces and crumble at your feet without ever touching each other or any surface below it!

The technique uses another new feature to R20, the Volume Builder. One can use fields for this type of thing by just adding keyframes on top with voxel range threshold values – it’s easy!
