Otoy has announced the GPU accelerated Octane render’s availability for Blender, rounding out their product’s host applications. This is a great way to get an idea of what Otoy can do and if it will work well with your project needs before committing fully! The demo version should be available soon so that those interested have an opportunity to take this free tool for a spin themselves as well.
We are pleased to announce the availability of a demo version of OctaneRender for BlenderOtoy
Octane engine is a great free option for students who want high-quality graphics. With the OctaneRender plugin, you can get it on your Blender or 3Ds Max software!
The demo version of OctaneRender for Blender has some limitations, including a render resolution limit of 1000 x 600. You are also not able to save the viewport renders and LiveDB access is missing–so it indeed qualifies as just being “demo material” at heart.
